ABOUT PATRICK

Patrick Aryee is an award-winning wildlife TV presenter, non-fiction science author and international keynote speaker.

His career spans over a decade working with world-leading broadcasters, including the BBC and Sky TV. He's captivated millions with his distinctive style of action-packed storytelling, extraordinary wildlife encounters, and thought-provoking insights.

His professional journey has taken him from the lecture halls as a cancer biology student to the wild frontiers of natural history broadcasting. His passion for storytelling led him to work alongside Sir David Attenborough on landmark projects, Madagascar, Frozen Planet and Attenborough: 60 Years in the Wild.

Patrick has since gone on to front his own programmes, captivating audiences for over a decade with his trademark mix of curiosity, energy, and infectious enthusiasm for how the natural world works. Among his many incredible TV adventures, he’s been pounced on by clouded leopard cubs, free-dived with giant sperm whales, and even been stalked by Komodo dragons.

Patrick’s talent for making complex science more relatable has led him to host a BBC World Service podcast and deliver a TEDx Talk, 'How the Chicken Cured Cancer'.

He's also the author of the internationally acclaimed book '30 Animals That Made Us Smarter', which reveals how nature-inspired solutions are supercharging human innovation. This pioneering field is known as biomimicry. From the skin of sharks influencing medical technology to the colonies of clever termites inspiring sustainable building design, it showcases how nature’s cleverest designs are shaping our most impressive breakthroughs.
